Dez Bryant's meltdown

what a crybaby. Witten was ready to kick his ass.

wish that was mic'ed up...would love to hear that convo

you don't need to know what they are saying to know that Dez was in the wrong though...

I didn't care about Dez's blow up at all UNTIL I saw that Witten was upset...only then had I thought he went too far...

I'd be pissed off too with the events that led up to the game, Calvin had 12 more targets, Dez didn't get to back up his talk and was embarrassed on TV. I doubt it will happen again this season.

He seems annoying but a lot of receivers are like that. He'll be worth putting up with until he's 34 or so like Owens and Johnson were.

yeah he had ZERO targets in the first half, and the entire media circus around the game was "Dez vs. Calvin"

I was happy about Dez's explosion at first, because I was also pissed that they weren't throwing at him...however, seeing him and Witten like that is another story...that makes me sad :(

He did. Twice actually. Once at halftime, once at the end of the game. If you are having a screaming watch with your quarterback, coaches, and tight end, that is considered a melt down.

it is hard to tell what the convo was like with Romo...if he was talking down to Romo like "why the fck you don't throw to me mfer" or if he was just enthusiastically saying "man I was open here and here you need to look me up"

the Witten thing is too much though...clearly he had said too much at that point

He should have kept his mouth shut, then Megatron wouldn't have had to embarrass him on national tv.

If you think about it Johnson wasn't actually trying to embarass him. Like any receiver Johnson runs his route and if the ball is thrown his way he tries to catch it. That's all he did yesterday just like any other game. It just so happened that the 'Boys decided on that day single coverage was a good idea (why did Rob Ryan get fired again? LOL) in a game where Bryant and Johnson's numbers were going to get compared by everyone thanks to an answer Bryant gave that wasn't that bad, though a more PR-savvy player wouldn't have said it.

Tony Romo: Dez Bryant 'never a selfish guy'

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com

The cameras caught Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant in an animated state in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Lions, as he was getting in the face of quarterback Tony Romo on the sidelines after a failed third-down attempt. However, Romo said it wasn't because Bryant was pleading his case for more passes.

In fact, Romo said Bryant has never complained about the amount of targets he sees. Bryant scored twice Sunday against the Lions, but had only three catches.

"He's a competitive guy," Romo said Sunday, per The Dallas Morning News. "He's never complained to me about getting the ball. He knows the ball is going to where it's supposed to. He knows that. I think more than anything it's about him willing the team.

"When you guys see emotion sometimes from Dez, it's just rah rah more than it is being a 'me guy.' That's not who Dez is. I think that would be completely out of character for him for it to be a 'me situation.' He does a great job. Sometimes, it's, 'Come on guys, we're better than this,' really emotionally. But he's never a selfish guy

:confusedshrug:

also, Garrett just got done with a press conference minutes ago...he claims that everything Dez was saying was "positive" in nature

Garrett could be lying to the media obviously, but that's what he claims...

I think it's blown out of proportion. He could've been yelling "come on guys, we gotta pick it up" for all we know.

Dude is such a child. Throws a fit. Raises his voice and acts like a baboon towards his qb and other teammates.

Then he tries to spin it as "Im just an emotional player who wants to win and is passionate"

No dude, you are a whiny little egotistical beotch who is really good at football.

Thats why, as a Broncos fan, im fine with drafting Demarius Thomas over Dez Bryant.
