ben howland has done a nice job there but hes making them out to be pitt east in terms of style, play tough d and be a little offnesively challenged

while hes bene sucessful you cant win a title and be a bad offensive team..

its good he wants denfeisve integrity but he needs to get some more explsovie scorers on the team if he ever wants to win a title in my opinion..

They're No. 22 in offensive effiency. Not great, but pretty good. And it isn't like Howland's trying to be great defensively and mediocre offensively. They're just going with what they have: three very good perimeter players and just not a great deal of inside punch. Well, they're getting it next year in the form of Kevin Love, who not only is a fantastic inside scorer but will put points on the board solely from his outlet passing.

As far as whether or not they can win it all like this, well, they're in their second straight Final Four and played in the title game last year. I'll grant that most NCAA champs are a lot more explosive offensively, but not all. I don't think they're all that different from, say, Michigan State in 2000.

I really hope Afflalo comes back to UCLA next year because they could be absolutely special with Love in the post.
