Bobbcats playing for a title this year
 

Look I know how some ppl feel about the bulls being the best young team but its almost all hype. Bobcats were injured all last year think about it.

Now they have the following lineup of sick players:

1) Raymond Felton... enough said. Backed up by one of the top 15 pg's in th e league Brevin Knight
2) Gerald Wallace... most underrated player in the league. Beast on both ends of the floor
3) Adam Morrison- who knos.
4) Sean May- Last year didn't play much at all but showed defnsive prowess and great post moves.
5) Emeka Okafor Last year he didnt play much but wow he is good defensive etc.

What now chicago homers? I will also tell you this: Felton WILL BE and may ALREADY BE a better PG than Hinrich.

there's a difference between having young talent and competing for a title. and felton is NO WHERE NEAR the PG that kirk is. its not even close.

You've never seen Felton play he is a different level even with his team completely injured he willed them to victories.

Felton = Hinrich or greater than hinich IMHO but not as much hype
Wallace > Deng
Morrison ?? Gordon Who knows
May > Sweetney
Okafor = Wallace (he's getting old and no offense)

Change the word defensive to offensive and I agree, defensivley he's still a work in progress. He could end up being a damn good big man in this league though.


You ****ting me, there is no way he's not "nowhere near" Kirk. Raymond is on the same level as Hinrich who you choose is pretty much a tossup.

I obviously don't agree with the word contender beign associated with the Cats but I can see us as being on the verge of making the playoffs this year or the next.

The Bobcats will be a nice team. No doubt, but they don't have the depth the Bulls have. They also need to grow together and learn how to win.

If they avoid the injury bug, they could be on the bubble with other playoff teams. They still got a ways to go though.

I don't tihnk they really need to learn how to win. What is that suppose to mean?

Brevin is top 15 PGs in the league. High in assists and got second most steals last year i think. (guess who got first? Gerald Wallace). His PPG average went up this year as well. He does what a PG is supposed to do.

bobcats need a bench, and some vets.

The Bobcats need another big man, they need Morrison to be a star (he will) and they need to grow before we are talking title contender.

If Morrison can be Carmelo-ish right now, then the Bobcats are in the playoffs. But they just don't have the frontcourt depth or the star power to be a title contender. If these guys grow and everyone overachieves, then sure. They have a great team makeup, and remember, they are going to have like 20-30 mil in cap room next summer. They can go after Pierce or Vince plus another big man with that money, and once that happens, then we can talk (although you still have to worry about the entire starting lineup being one big injury concern).

Vets, exactly. I don't think theres a single Bobcat in the regular rotation who isn't on his rookie deal other than Brevin, and Brevin ain't a leader. They should have been the ones going after PJ Brown, not Chicago. they need a guy like that. They'll never be able to pull out those tough close games unless they get a vet (or if Morrison = Melo right away, again).
