Re: Bucks vs. Raptors Series Thread (Eastern Conference Finals)
I feel like a lot of folks are overrating the bucks because of the beatdown they put on a boston team that completely laid down. Al horford was their best player for christs sake and kyrie, hayward, and tatum were all terrible. No way kawhi & siakam turn in performances like that.
It has to do more with the coaching advantage of Budenholzer and the supporting cast of Milwakuee not having a perennial choker like Lowry.
I'm real interested to see how the Raps try to contain Yannis, and how quick they can close out on BroLo.

Re: Bucks vs. Raptors Series Thread (Eastern Conference Finals)
The Raptors will win if:

Kawhi Leonard is the best player on the floor. It'll be a titanic matchup between him and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Not only just that, but who also brings out the best in his teammates.
The Klaw has averaged 32 ppg, 8.5 rpg, and 3.6 apg during the playoffs, while shooting efficiently (53.9% FG, 40.8% 3FG, 86.8% FT). Pascal Siakam is a solid second option (21ppg in the playoffs) and Lowry is a solid if inconsistent third option. Ibaka was solid in the regular season but he's disappeared in the playoffs (from 15 ppg and 8 rpg to a weak 9ppg and 5.8 rpg).
However, the Buck will win because:

they are elite on both offense and defense, and Giannis is the best player in the league.
The Greek Freak should win the MVP, and is having a great playoffs to date (27.4 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 4.4 apg, 1.6 bpg, 1.1 spg, at 52.2% FG). He might not have a three point shot, but he hit 41.2% of his attempts against the Celtics. Middleton is a very good second option, and the Bucks have plenty of options like a shrewd vet in George Hill, and etcetera.
It will be a heavily competitive series. But it will come down to who has the best coach and the best player, and the most depth and the homecourt, and all signs point to the Bucks.

Re: Bucks vs. Raptors Series Thread (Eastern Conference Finals)
Bucks went 3-1 vs Raptors this year. 2-1 in games both Giannis and Kawhi played. Kawhi avg 22/8/4/3s/1block while shooting 43% overall. Giannis avg 27/15/5/2s/1b on 58% shooting.

Kawhi > Giannis ... it's not close right now
People picking the Bucks are trusting Giannis > Kawhi.. man.. some of y'all are just pathetic
since they're so similarly matched it will absolutely come down to which superstar plays the best
I cannot understand anyone picking Giannis over Kawhi right now. :facepalm
not close? That's why Giannis is better at everything per 36, has a better WS/ VoRP and all that shit? You nikkas are stupid
Re: Bucks vs. Raptors Series Thread (Eastern Conference Finals)
Not even going to bother watching this series
Craptors are getting swept
Re: Bucks vs. Raptors Series Thread (Eastern Conference Finals)
If Kyle Lowry wasn't so garbage Raptors would have a chance. The problem is Giannis is going to shit all over Kawhi. Bucks in 4.

You smart, matter of fact you a genius
Re: Bucks vs. Raptors Series Thread (Eastern Conference Finals)
You are one dense retard, aren't you?
Kawhi guarded Giannis on 17.8% of his (Giannis) possessions vs the Raptors. On those 17.8% of possessions, Giannis scored only 5.6% of this total points vs the Raptors. So yeah, there's that.
"Something that both @ZachLowe_NBA and @HPbasketball mentioned:
Kawhi was attributed as guarding Giannis in 32 possessions in the regular season.
Going through film earlier in the year, the number was mostly on off-ball switches with the action away from them.
Lots of noise."

Re: Bucks vs. Raptors Series Thread (Eastern Conference Finals)
This has potential to be one of the best series we've seen in a while.
The Bucks have depth in personnel and @nally which I find worrisome.
2 teams that defend ferociously and can score with the best of them, boasting 2 of the best players on the planet.
Should be a doozy...

Re: Bucks vs. Raptors Series Thread (Eastern Conference Finals)
Now that Jokic is out of the Playoffs.Nothing would please me more than the Bucks getting to the Finals then getting swept 4-0 by GSW
:applause:
If the Raptors sweep them 4-0 that would also be amazing, but the Finals sweep would sting so much more :oldlol:
