Gasol needs to start shooting if the Raps are going to be competitive. He was passing up open shots consistently. Open shots aren't easy to come by in the playoffs.
Craptors ain't winning shit foh
May as well start the NBA finals now tbh
Yeah you're probably right Manny.
If only we held onto Ed Davis all those years back. Maybe then we'd stand a chance.
:lol With your burger flipping ass
You do know Giannis has shit on Marc Gasol all this when he was with the griz right?
You mean the rebuilding version of Memphis? I'm talking about Gasol's help defense and keeping Giannis out of the paint for Toronto... Marc did a great job against Philly and his defense will be key in this series as well.
I think Kawhi should play up on Giannis. Most guys play way off him daring him to shoot jumpers.
Giannis isn't taking the bait. He just closes the space and gets momentum going to the basket.
It's like the Lebron conundrum. You want to give him space and invite the jumper but you also don't want to give him space to build momentum. I think it will vary depending on the physical abilities of the individual defender.

How the Raptors defenders have done when guarding Giannis, he's been pretty ****ing efficient

That shows Kawhi played fantastic defense because Giannis didn't shoot much when Leonard was on him. 3 shots taken in 31 possessions is probably indicative of really good defense.
Clownnis is gonna get straight up exposed this series
Clownnis is gonna get straight up exposed this series
That's really clever. Did you think that up yourself?
Once again showing this is a weak era for trolls.
Clownnis is gonna get straight up exposed this series
go back to your embiid avatar bitch.
Hard series to predict.
Kawhi will probably outplay Giannis and be the best player in thr series, but I think Bucks are a better team, specially shooting and more consistent in the defensive side of the court.
As many said, Toronto needs Siakam, Lowry and at least one of Gasol/Ibaka/Green to show up to compete.
My prediction: Bucks in 7. Maaaaybe 6.

3 assist no turnovers bitch boi
no it isn't indicative of great defence
Talent - Raptors
Potential - Raptors
Best Player - Raptors
Depth - Bucks
Coaching - Bucks
I believe the Raptors will win in 6.
Game 1 - Raptors
Game 2 - Bucks
Game 3 - Raptors
Game 4 - Raptors
Game 5 - Bucks
Game 6 - Raptors

so there should be 0 possessions where siakam guards giannis :oldlol: (with the exception of blown coverage)
Kawhi played great defense according to that graphic.
Kawhi in 6.........
I'm taking the Raptors. When teams are close like this, having the best player usually decides the outcome. I can also see Siakam bounce back.
raptors in 6. Raptors squad is just too much.
Leonard first team/all-star/all-defensive DPOY quality player
Gasol All-nba/all-star/all-defense quality player DPOY
Lowry all-nba/all-star quality player
Green all-defense quality player
Sikham most improved player
Ibaka all-defense quality player
That should be enough for Leonard to win

Kawhi is the best player in basketball right now, but Gasol and Lowry don't play nowhere near like stars should.
stfu with this it "could go 7 crap" same bs people said about the Celtics series, there's nothing that points to this series going any less than 5 games in the buck's favour.
Dude I have been a Bucks fan since 69,, so I do have an opinion.
I appreciate you thinking the Bucks a superior team , but the Raptors have always played the Bucks tough.
If Borgdan can play consistent minutes he will be the difference maker in the series vs Lowry.
No one will stop Lenard , but its Siakia that is my concern , he has had some outstanding games against the Bucks , and has been the difference.

if there was any series that shows the importance of shooting between MVPs it would be this one...
this might be like dirk vs KG in 02... except giannis has more help. I love siakam but playoff middleton has been automatic for years and you gotta take bledsoe over lowry for now. Guess it could come down to the other guys...
This is going to be a great series
Lowry absolutely needs to step his game up if they’re going to win this. They’ve been getting by feeding Kawhi since he’s on a tear but Lowry needs to show up as well, he’s an all star talent

From twitter proving me right
"Something that both @ZachLowe_NBA and @HPbasketball mentioned:
Kawhi was attributed as guarding Giannis in 32 possessions in the regular season.
Going through film earlier in the year, the number was mostly on off-ball switches with the action away from them.
Lots of noise."
Lots of noise, aka the data is being perceived wrong, kawhi wasn't really guarding giannis because they were running actions
I highly doubt Giannis or Kawhi will guard each other for big stretches and any time they do will be a mistake by the coach. Giannis is too damn tall/long to chase Kawhi around screens, and his primary value is as a help defender anyways. Also Kawhi isn't big enough to handle Giannis in the paint, and the Raptors would be better off having him shut down Middleton. He might get a couple good deflections or something but Giannis will wear him down if he has to do it possession after possession.
Also yeah, those defensive stats are pretty misleading. Kawhi mainly guarded him on switches off ball. The like 2 or 3 times he straight up guarded him he looked like a child guarding his dad.
Kawhi guarded lebron whose bigger & stronger than giannis... i dont think the size is an issue.
Kawhi guarded lebron whose bigger & stronger than giannis... i dont think the size is an issue.
Giannis is way longer than Bron though.
Kawhi guarded lebron whose bigger & stronger than giannis... i dont think the size is an issue.
ever heard of this thing called length?
Giannis is way longer than Bron though.
and yet lebron still was a better finisher than giannis. And tougher to handle overall. im just saying... i dont think kawhi fears giannis for his size when hes guarded bigger.
interestingly enough the raptors have four guys that can sag and cut giannis off ~ siakam, kawhi, marc, and ibaka. even lowry held his own against ben simmons at times hes surprisingly tough. The celtics had al horford and baynes... damn joke. It will be tougher for him here.
everyone on the raps looked shook outside of kawhi and ibaka in game 7 - glad to see that some of that pressure is off their backs.
everyone on the raps looked shook outside of kawhi and ibaka in game 7 - glad to see that some of that pressure is off their backs.
The pressure will still be there in the conference finals though. They looked so scared i can't help but doubt them against the Bucks who are rolling.

bucks looking strong right now I doubt the pressure will ever get to the level it was at during the 4th quarter of game 7 when everyone looked like they were ready to shit their pants outside of kawhi.
home court is a big advantage for the bucks so I'm hoping we can steal one of the first two.

I already said ibaka's name no need to give the old man more credit than he deserves.
he went 0-9 from three the first six games...

Bucks in 4

Huh?
Lowry - 13/5/6 on 40% shooting
Simmons - 12/7/5 on 60% shooting
Simmons was definitely more disappointing, but that's mostly because we just expect these performances from Lowry in the playoffs. :lol
Kawhi had very little help against the 76ers.
3 assist no turnovers bitch boi

You are one dense retard, aren't you?
Kawhi guarded Giannis on 17.8% of his (Giannis) possessions vs the Raptors. On those 17.8% of possessions, Giannis scored only 5.6% of this total points vs the Raptors. So yeah, there's that.
Giannis is a great player and retards like you are just going to make people hate him through your completely asinine and moronic posts.

TBF, those 12 points a game were the most empty 12 points a game in the history of the NBA.
Do you want to guess how these two shot charts belong to:

Simmons should be traded, problem is Embiid's health and durability.
Embiid needs a PG who can shoot and space the offense.
IMHO, Philly should keep Butler, Harris, take the gamble with Embiid and trade Simmons for a true PG.
On Raptors-Bucks series, its not going less than 6 games. Kawhi could limkt Giannis but he is too important in the offense, so they will take turns on defending Giannis.
