That shot chart is absolutely disgusting. How is an NBA guard incapable of even TAKING a shot outside the painted area? Mind boggling.

Bucks first playoff meeting w/ the Raptors was 2017 First Round where Raptors won 4-2.
Both teams have improved since two years ago. Giannis vs. Kawhi is epic, but I still give the edge to Giannis.
bucks are the favorites playing good ball right now. hopefully this'll be a better series than the impending beatdown in the warriors blazers series.
Bucks in 6 or 7
Lowry is the weak link of the Raps
Bucks in 6.
Kawhi ain't going down without a fight, but I don't trust his team mates to step up enough to upset the Deer. Also, Budenholzer will coach circles around Nurse.
Raps in 6.
Kawhi > Giannis ... it's not close right now
People picking the Bucks are trusting Giannis > Kawhi.. man.. some of y'all are just pathetic
since they're so similarly matched it will absolutely come down to which superstar plays the best
I cannot understand anyone picking Giannis over Kawhi right now. :facepalm

Yeah, Kawhi is the best, but Raptors supporting cast was very underwhelming so far. Kawhi carried Raptors big time.
Yeah, Kawhi is the best, but Raptors supporting cast was very underwhelming so far. Kawhi carried Raptors big time.
Yeah. It's gonna come down to whether or not gasol/siakam/ibaka can make wide open shots.
I feel like a lot of folks are overrating the bucks because of the beatdown they put on a boston team that completely laid down. Al horford was their best player for christs sake and kyrie, hayward, and tatum were all terrible. No way kawhi & siakam turn in performances like that.

Kawhi no, but Siakam and the rest? yeah
like i said before, I want Kawhi to make it to the finals but this Toronto team really knows how to disappear during the playoffs. Bucks have a better coach and surrounding cast that is peaking right now, that can make a big difference.

It has to do more with the coaching advantage of Budenholzer and the supporting cast of Milwakuee not having a perennial choker like Lowry.
I'm real interested to see how the Raps try to contain Yannis, and how quick they can close out on BroLo.

bledsoe choked just as bad as lowry ever has last year... they gotta give that guy the draymond treatment. And giannis the simmons. Double middleton if you have to.
if marc cant outplay lopez raps propbably wont win.

Giannis:
Bucks in 6
The Raptors will win if:

Kawhi Leonard is the best player on the floor. It'll be a titanic matchup between him and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Not only just that, but who also brings out the best in his teammates.
The Klaw has averaged 32 ppg, 8.5 rpg, and 3.6 apg during the playoffs, while shooting efficiently (53.9% FG, 40.8% 3FG, 86.8% FT). Pascal Siakam is a solid second option (21ppg in the playoffs) and Lowry is a solid if inconsistent third option. Ibaka was solid in the regular season but he's disappeared in the playoffs (from 15 ppg and 8 rpg to a weak 9ppg and 5.8 rpg).
However, the Buck will win because:

they are elite on both offense and defense, and Giannis is the best player in the league.
The Greek Freak should win the MVP, and is having a great playoffs to date (27.4 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 4.4 apg, 1.6 bpg, 1.1 spg, at 52.2% FG). He might not have a three point shot, but he hit 41.2% of his attempts against the Celtics. Middleton is a very good second option, and the Bucks have plenty of options like a shrewd vet in George Hill, and etcetera.
It will be a heavily competitive series. But it will come down to who has the best coach and the best player, and the most depth and the homecourt, and all signs point to the Bucks.
Milwaukee in 6:cheers:
Bucks went 3-1 vs Raptors this year. 2-1 in games both Giannis and Kawhi played. Kawhi avg 22/8/4/3s/1block while shooting 43% overall. Giannis avg 27/15/5/2s/1b on 58% shooting.

not close? That's why Giannis is better at everything per 36, has a better WS/ VoRP and all that shit? You nikkas are stupid
Not even going to bother watching this series
Craptors are getting swept
If Kyle Lowry wasn't so garbage Raptors would have a chance. The problem is Giannis is going to shit all over Kawhi. Bucks in 4.

You smart, matter of fact you a genius
You are one dense retard, aren't you?
Kawhi guarded Giannis on 17.8% of his (Giannis) possessions vs the Raptors. On those 17.8% of possessions, Giannis scored only 5.6% of this total points vs the Raptors. So yeah, there's that.
"Something that both @ZachLowe_NBA and @HPbasketball mentioned:
Kawhi was attributed as guarding Giannis in 32 possessions in the regular season.
Going through film earlier in the year, the number was mostly on off-ball switches with the action away from them.
Lots of noise."

Not even gunna lie.... Nobody gives a shit
This has potential to be one of the best series we've seen in a while.
The Bucks have depth in personnel and @nally which I find worrisome.
2 teams that defend ferociously and can score with the best of them, boasting 2 of the best players on the planet.
Should be a doozy...

Anally? :oldlol:
Now that Jokic is out of the Playoffs.Nothing would please me more than the Bucks getting to the Finals then getting swept 4-0 by GSW
:applause:
If the Raptors sweep them 4-0 that would also be amazing, but the Finals sweep would sting so much more :oldlol:

This is the 3rd straight round you're saying this
Dloading..
siakam is going from embiid to brook lopez in the paint. I expect siakam to have a good series and now fred and lowry can get to the rim without getting their shit pushed in every time. we're gonna get lit up on the perimeter if we load up on giannis and vice versa giannis will go off if we let him play 1on1 every time getting a chance to run at the basket so we need to hit open shots to even hang around. I think we have a good chance in this series if gasol and ibaka can stick some of their open shots.
Raptors had some horrible games against the Bucks in the regular season, so I don't have any confidence of Raptors coming out of this round... but then again.. Raptors destroyed the 76ers in the regular season.. and we needed a miracle shot from Kawhi to beat them in game 7.
I'd be surprised if Raptors make it pass the bucks.

the celtics getting raped isn't very encouraging either. I think we have a much better squad though. we complain about our shooting sometimes - they were bricking everything. was ugly watching kyrie try to score.

I went to one of the games vs. the bucks.. and it was not a fun game to watch. I have a feeling we're going to need to jump on Kawhi's back again. :lol

whole team hanging off of his braids :oldlol:
Don't be surprised
Kawhi been there
Danny Green been there
Lowry been there
Ibaka been there too
That's all I'm saying.
I’ve prefaced a month ago that the Raptors needed a redemptive playoffs run before we can rebrand them, and they’ve answered all those bells so far; aside from the Game 1-curse recurrence against Orlando, I’ve found nothing scornworthy about their current run, where Kawhi established himself in the BITW discussion and where Nick Nurse reassured fans that the coaching changeover was a step in the right direction.
The Raptors have more to prove to legitimize themselves in the title-contention picture, but they’ve taken care of all their business timelily so far this time around; now, they have a chance to outstep the usual business against the Bucks and provide their opponents their own tallest task yet in the process.
BITW candidates Giannis and Kawhi have golden opportunities to buttress their respective cases here. Kawhi would comfortably outdistance the Green Freak in that race if the playoffs ended today; and while the latter’s inferior production in this realm might be due to nonnecessity more than inability (considering all the blowouts he’s luxuriated in), he still remains to prove he can ratchet up his level of play where needed as his opponent did game-after-game against the 76ers.
My biggest misgiving is once again crunch time, where the Bucks still aren’t too battle-tested—a minor drawback of amassing the largest margin of victory in the regular season and playoffs. On the other hand, the Raptors, who saw their superstar hit the first Game 7 buzzer-beater in league history, just played in one of the most pressure-packed games scriptable, which helped steel them for almost any realistic crunch-time scenario against us.
I’ll also need to see more off-ball movement from The Deer, who’ve had a shockingly stagnant pick-and-roll offense. Our transitional points and catch-and-shoot three-pointers have more than sufficed against the Pistons and Celtics’ anemic offenses, but the margin for error tapers now that we’re facing one of the postseason-best offenses in the Raptors.
The only major mismatch on-paper is our frontcourt, which is overtopped by Toronto’s Three Towers in Siakam, Ibaka, and Gasol; however, the Bucks are more than ready to counterpose it with one of the most prolific transitional offenses in the league, which will force Toronto to either downsize their lineup or run their bigmen into the ground.
Otherwise, don’t even get me started on the even more lopsided backcourt match-ups, where Khris Middleton continues to upvalue his free-agency stock and where Lowry continues to have fans and detractors alike scratching their heads at his maximal contract. It’s also where Malcolm Brogdon—the newest member of the 50/40/90 club—is playably healthy now.
The Raptors are a worthy ECF opponent and certainly have a fighting chance this series; but the Bucks have too much in their wheelhouse with HCA, the better superstar (who will prove it), and the better coaching staff to allow for more than a run for their money here.
Bottom-line prediction: Bucks in six.
Avies gone. ISH 2019
Buttress
Who's ****ing tonight?
Raptors in 6 or 7.
Raptors win tonight
i'll stay with bucks in 6. Decent chance i'm overreacting to last series but I dont think kawhi is going get enough help(and his meh passing isnt helping either). siakam is crucial but going have a tough time with giannis likely guarding him.
