Re: Should we trade kblaze to RGM for a package of high volume/high IQ posters?
Learn this phrase: "No thank you, I don't eat ______." As they have already met you you may have to tell them you have converted to Islam Rasta or seventh day Adventist but you can get out of eating a lot by simply saying it's due to your diet. My sister-in-law tried to serve me chitterlings the first time I had Christmas with their family. They put more pork in the collard greens than greens and it was just a meal that overall I could not understand. But guess what? Jah and Yahweh both forbid it so I just had to pick one and stick to it. I didn't realize that they could make Mac and cheese too salty so I did suffer through that part of the meal but the next time I regretfully informed them that my doctor was concerned that I may be lactose intolerant (and a lot of people are so it could be true). Almost anything that you could be served has a condition that would make it something you can't eat.
i can eat most of it. It’s good just amazingly white southern food. Lot of marshmallow fluff desserts and shit like that. I’ll get something off a fruit tray. I’ll make due. I just can’t believe anyone on earth eats cream cheese, pineapple, pecan sandwiches.
I thought it was stereotypical tv shit to pick on white peoples cuisine. They really eat like this.
The “dinner” is sandwich varieties the largest portion of which is cream cheese pineapple and pecan. I don’t know what the **** that is….
They also have one labeled ham pepper and onion and plain pimento cheese which I guess is my best bet. I definitely need to go have dinner after this. I should have done the food. I was going to but the women volunteered. I just got flowers and drinks and all along with what is definitely the best gift.
Her father who never saw me before today has yet to speak a word. I’m taking 2 hours of prep and he has not made eye contact with me. His brother and parents love me and insisted I be here but her father has literally never acknowledged my existence. It’s actually a little funny.
Reading this thread, any dad would be upset their young daughter is being taken advantage of by an old man with money. Theres obviously no future in it for her.

Quality men are rare frankly, on an evolutionary level theyre an outlier. If your daughter finds one, I wouldnt worry about an age difference. Better to date a quality older guy than a loser her own age IMO.
If she stays single until she finds only an available, quality man her own age... the pages could go flying off the calendar before she ever finds someone to spend time with. Gotta be practical sometimes.
Would you rather your daughter date Kblaze or Rr3??
Id pick Kblaze, and as they say, frankly it isnt close.

Re: Should we trade kblaze to RGM for a package of high volume/high IQ posters?
In our first year and change she went from an apartment to a house in her name, and a 399 credit score to 700+, and planning rental properties in Austin and south Florida. She loves it over here. I’m the one uncertain. I’m not starting a new family at this point but she’s kinda…pushing the issue.
To continue the earlier theme….
Im now at the grandparents 50th anniversary party. I was told it would be a dinner and their side of the family was making all the food which…did not fill me with hope. They set up food and this is the first thing I see:

What about trading high volume/low iq Lebron stan accounts (seems like only one person with 20+ accounts) for future picks?

nah we need to keep kblaze at all costs
you cant trade your MVP. that's like trading lebron.

Guess who’s house I’m at for thanksgiving?

I’m told that is a fruit salad but I can’t identify anything but raisins and marshmallows.
-
Re: Should we trade kblaze to RGM for a package of high volume/high IQ posters?
Oh and this is the spread when I made dinner:

And there was a whole second table with more sides and a whole pan of just the smoked Turkey legs you see there. Brined, injected with a seasoned broth, smoked, and basted with a spicy honey. I made like 10 and didn’t even get to taste one that time. They go too fast.
You don’t claim Holiday food responsibility if you can’t cook or won’t buy catering. Luckily I can cook. And if I couldn’t I’d spring for a dinner. I wouldn’t give people whatever this stuff on my plate is.

Re: Should we trade kblaze to RGM for a package of high volume/high IQ posters?
I didn’t eat nan bite of that shit. I got lucky and her family went outside to do outdoorsy woods loving people stuff. They’re actually cutting down a tree on the property. Even grandma. That’s what they do for fun.
We were left to make our own plates to help get rid of all the food. I’m just chilling for as long as I must to be polite.
-
Re: Should we trade kblaze to RGM for a package of high volume/high IQ posters?
Her grandma did kill this dessert I must admit. They call it cherry yum yum. I think it’s store bought cherry pie filling in top of sweetened cheese cheese and a graham cracker crust. I bet it took 3 minutes but it’s good as hell. It wasn’t a part of my upbringing.

I'm serious though. Peanut butter goes with just about anything, and I bet it's great in a fruit salad. Sounds kind of like a Thai dessert.

Years ago, I had a co-worker recommended me a peanut butter & orange sandwich, basically slices of oranges to go with the peanut butter. Stupidly tried it and it was awful.
I've tried a peanut butter sandwich with banana slices, honey, then stove cooked it with butter. Very good stuff.
-
Re: Should we trade kblaze to RGM for a package of high volume/high IQ posters?
Peanut butter is basically a sweet peanut sauce. Straight up onto salad probably not good, but it's a well-known ingredient in some Asian influenced vinaigrettes also used in some satay recipes.

Someone talked me into trying a banana sandwhich once. It was bread with peanut butter and banana slices, which would have been good...but for some unfathomable reason he also had mayonnaise on there. Absolutely disgusting! So when I say peanut butter goes with just about anything, it does NOT go with mayonnaise.

:oldlol: This nasty pic conjured up some repressed ptsd/nausea from holidays past at the white side of my family's gatherings. Old folks love that stuff. Sometimes there'd be 2 or 3 different versions of em. :coleman:
Fortunately, I had a Mexican side of the family that'd fix everything right up with way too many tamales to compensate. If someone tried to smuggle some of that marshmallow crap in those gatherings they'd have been run out.
While getting rid of some extra junk around the house I was looking through a great aunt's recipe books that had long since passed. In this stack I found around all too many books filled with abominations, such as the one you so kindly posted, along with entire books devoted to "jello salads." Horrid, gelatinous monstrosities filled with fruits, vegetables, meats, cheese whatever scraps you had in the fridge got tossed in and preserved for your later pleasure....

Apologies, for the pic, but your aggression must be met in kind.
Out of curiosity I read up a little on why these nightmares even existed and the answer usually came down to this stuff being depression era food. It was a method of stretching out what they had into something I guess they felt was more palatable while prolonging the lifespan of the food at the same time. Makes me question wtf was unpalatable at the time, but whatever.
Regardless, history aside. We're not in the depression anymore so there's no damn excuse for somebody trying to force that down an innocent victim's gullet in the year 2022. You should be mad at that.:oldlol: A man has got to draw the line somewhere....
The recipe books got composted. Probably should have burned them to truly ensure that there would be no resurrection, but what's done is done.
I don't think it even needs to be said, but you will NEVER be pleasantly surprised by the taste of one these jello/marshmallow crimes of humanity ever.
There is no joy there, only despair.

Nobody loves peanut butter more than me, I often eat breakfast with just a coffee and two scoops of chunky PB( or as an afternoon snack). That sounds absolutely disgusting. Now PB with some Banana slices on bread, you're onto something. But straight up in a fruit salad? Hell to the fukk no.
