anyone else beginning to notice how good Jose Calderon Is?

It is impossible not to be impressed by Jose Calderon. If his improved 3-point shooting (46.3 percent) is for real, he is exactly what you want in a point guard: high field-goal percentage, tons of assists, few turnovers, and some decent steals. His stat line reminds me of Steve Nash in terms of contribution. Averaging more than six assists with just 1.3 turnovers in fewer than 19 minutes a game is just phenomenal, and though he can't get enough minutes to truly take off yet, he should be the No. 1 player to watch on everybody's list. He will be a top-10 point guard, minimum, when that happens.

Playing against 2nd units. Untill he translates it into a 30 mpg role, means nothing.

He actually plays extended minutes against 1st unit if Ford is struggling...

He's solid given his role. Just like Barbosa. Don't over-hype the guy. He's not All-Star material or anything, so keep your pants on.

Jose is so overrated.................
TJ is much better than him & has star potential
Jose will never be a star on any team

If he was so good he wouldn't be sitting on the bench behind T.J. Ford

I remember last year some trade rumor came up and a raptor fan was offended at the idea of Jose even being considered for trade(in that probbaly false rumor). I think he said something like "We are talking baout Jose ****ing Calderon!!!". I didnt get the big deal the nand I dont now. Hes a good backup point from what ive seen. TJ Ford is easily superior from what ive seen. And I mean very very easily. Jose is kinda like Speedy Claxton was a few years ago. Or Earl Watson. Backu point who does it well. Nothing t oget excited about.

that's gotta one of the dumbest comments i've read this week. so because he only plays 20 minutes a game, he ONLY plays when the second unit of the opposing team is on? ok.

Kind of like Ben Gordon and a starting SG position.
