It's not all Spurs fault. It's their opponents too, like the Pistons, Cavs, or Nets :sleeping

With that said, I wouldn't mind seeing a Spurs/Celtics finals.
Or a Suns/Cavs finals. Get what I'm saying? It's the matchups that's boring.

It depends on who they play.

suns/pistons would be great
heat/mavs rematch would be GREATER

I'd love for the Spurs to win it again. They play great basketball on both ends. The game "not being fast enough" for some people just doesn't affect me at all.

Boston
Utah
San Antonio

That's who I'd like to see win it, and in that order.

Celtics-Suns would get much higher ratings.

I don't really care what the ratings are, because at the end of the day the best team should win and Spurs did just that in the finals, regardless of whether people think they are boring or not. The league should not be made to benefit people who do not appreciate good defense and good off and on ball movement.

Spurs vs. Celtics would be an awsome highly watched final.

Tim Duncan vs KG
Tony Parker vs. Ray Allen
Bruce Bowen vs. Paul Pierce.

That'd be fun to watch.

The reason it dropped last year was because the entire finals was over by the first half of game 1.

i think the days of the spurs being a boring team have kinda faded over the last 2 or 3 seasons, granted most of you will write me off as a homer, but..

yeah, they do grind it out on the defensive end, but the offensive game has been ramped up in a big way over the last few years. they run more fast breaks, they're taking full advantage of slashing with two of the most high octane and exciting players in the league, parker and gino. and they knock down the 3 ball as good as any other team in the league. say what you want about bruce bowen, the guy makes the best players in the league work that much harder, thus making them look that much better when they prevail.

ratings are indicative of the lay american (sports fan). not people who really enjoy and understand solid basketball.

That's true. With the emergence of Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli you see way more fast breaks off of turnovers. AND you have Tim Duncan who is a great passer, so he rips down a board and send a pass up court. It is much faster than most people think.

Plus solid defense is fun to watch, and so is Tim Duncan backing down like the entire opposing team.
