carmelo - fantasy weapon?

do you think melo will become a fantasy force this year?

he hasnt been bad thus far, but if the Nugs can find one more outside shooter to go with j.r. his assist are sure to increase, plus his jumper is money atm and i see his 3pt % increasing.

In addition, his rebounding numbers wont go any lower, and could even get to the high 5's per game maybe?

im being very optimistic but what do you reckon, could be a steal in the rounds he usually gets picked up.

lol. I haven't heard or read the word "reckon" since I read harry potter. haha.

Back to the topic...I think Melo's fantasy value will have a lot to do with his performance in the world championships. If the USA wins gold and Melo gets MVP or Most important PLayer or player of the tournament or whatever they call it in International BBall, his value is going to skyrocket because he will be on peoples minds come draft time

haha, yeah im Australian so i say "reckon" a fair bit.

i like your point, and theres a fair chance he will impress in these championships.

but do u think his numbers will actually improve?

The thing is, he dosn't need his numbers to increase a whole lot before hes considered a top fantasy player, and i think this season is when we'll first see an increase in the numbers that let him down the most.

Basically he's a three category player: pretty good FG%, nice amount of points and he kept my team's FT% afloat last year. He'd need to average two more rebounds per game and get at least 1 3PTM to make any substantial move up in front of the 30 or so players in front of him in my draft order.
