and you are wrong, unless you are already at a calorie defecit then changing diet alone absolutely can cause you to lose weight. changing diet is also the single easiest thing you can do for your weight. its a lot easier to cut sugary drinks from your diet than it is to start burning a lot of extra calories every day.
You don't even need to exercise. Common sense says if you put shitty food into your body, your body is going to be shitty.
