I also have Samsung SmartThings which is another hub. Also, I have replace all my light switches and dimmers to zwave light switches. So at the end it could be expensive. if you want to control everything with your voice. IMHO in my case its worth it. Smart theromatats (Nest or Ecobee) will run you about 200-300 bucks.

Yah that's the thing - I don't mind buying up all the smart devices (smart HVAC, CO2, Water, receptacles, security cameras, doorbell, lamps etc etc.) as long as I have a HUB that works. Everything combined will probably run 1-2K.


I hear good things about Samsung hubs. That zwave thing was on sale on amazon - actually it still is (https://www.amazon.com/Eaton-RF9501D...%2Bswitch&th=1)
