Wells has almost the perfect body for an NFL RB. He has great strength in both upper and lower body. His strength allows him to break a lot and explode into the hole. Wells has developed strong stiff arm that has been very impressive this season

With the release of longtime face of the franchise Deuce McAllister, the New Orleans Saints have a large gaping hole at the power RB spot. By adding powerful runner Chris Wells the Saints fix their short yardage problem that plagued them all of last season. By teaming with former #1 pick Reggie Bush, and suprise contributer and undrafted free agent pickup Pierre Thomas, Wells gives the team a formidable three headed running attack. Durability may be Wells only drawback as he missed games in his sophomore and junior seasons. Though the Saints secondary is still questionable, the Saints hope Wells can help with ball control, which in turn will help the defense.
