Seems like shin splints. Far as I know there's no quick fix for it, the real solution is fixing how you run. If you watch for it you can see Tyler strikes the ground with his heel on first contact when he runs, he need to change that or it'll be a career long problem that could get worse and worse.
In short, teach him to quit being such a goof.
