It wasn't a bad trade. It made both teams better (P. Gasol was unhappy and voicing it to press and management, plus he was not suited to be a #1 option).
Just because one of the most storied franchises got him and paired him with the best player in the league, everybody who wasn't a lakers fan was sent into a panic because of the danger that team posed.
Of course, Grizz management still sucks. All these facilitating deals, and we can't give someone like Flip Murray (or even Marquis Daniels a couple weeks ago) an MLE to be a much-needed backup SG-PG? sigh
