Spurs draft pick James Anderson lingering hamstring issue
San Antonio Express-News reports:
Lingering effects from a strained hamstring could keep new Spurs draft pick James Anderson out of next month's summer league in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, the Spurs couldn't keep second-year big man DeJuan Blair away if they tried.
Anderson's status will remain uncertain until Spurs doctors determine the extent of his injury. The balky hamstring limited Anderson, a 6-foot-6 guard from Oklahoma State, in pre-draft workouts — one reason he slid to the Spurs at No. 20.
