Default 2010-11 Hornets preseason schedule

The New Orleans Hornets announced today that they will play eight preseason games prior to their Oct. 27 season opener vs. Milwaukee, highlighted by the team’s matchup against Chris Bosh, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and the Miami HEAT in the New Orleans Arena on October 13.

The Hornets begin the preseason with a home contest against Rudy Gay and the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, Oct. 9, followed by a road matchup against Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic on Sunday, Oct. 10. The Oct. 10 game will be the first ever basketball game played in Orlando’s brand new Amway Arena.

“Our preseason schedule gives our home fans in New Orleans two games against some very talented teams to see our 2010-11 team before the regular season,” Hornets President Hugh Weber said. “We are excited and anxious to get the season underway.”

In addition to their home preseason games at the New Orleans Arena, the Hornets will host Joe Johnson and the Atlanta Hawks in a home game in Johnson City, TN on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 7:00 p.m.

The Hornets conclude preseason with a three-game road trip as they visit Memphis (Oct. 18), Charlotte (Oct. 20) and Oklahoma City (Oct. 21) during the preseason.
