just random thoughts like that go in my head and even follow into the next day.

Don't doubt yourself. Trust that your coach trusts you. If you aren't confident in your skills, what makes you think he would be? Just try and make it a lesson instead of a loss, learn as much as you can from the game and practice and eliminate those mistakes the next game.
