On the game:
That was a great great win, we really needed that after starting off 0-2 on the road trip. No artest, no problem. Our gaurds stepped it up like they had to. We started off slugish as they took control but in the third, Mike Bibby and Kevin Martin basically took over. The bench came in and gave us a big lift, especially Sisco and his 2 three-balls whenever Indy made a run. Our defensive was horrible in the first half, Musselman had to switch it up and it worked. Great win. We should do this more often, have Artest scheduled to play and then drop'em at the last minute for personal reasons lol. Like Armstrong said on the postgame, they were so focused and prepared for Ron Artest that they weren't expecting what the others could do to them.
Great Games By
: 35 points! He was really struggling early but the great thing about Kevin Martin is that he will find other ways to score. He used to speed and quickness to get by his defenders to the rim, and got to the line I think 23 times. He knew he would get more shots with Ron Artest out, and he took advantage of it. Without Ron Ron, the offence has more a free, loose and uptempo style that benefits our gaurds who like to run and push the ball. 27 fast break points proves it.
: 28 Points, that's more like the Mike Bibby we know. He was knocking down the jumpers early and good starts are key to his game. 10 of 17 is effecient, but take a look at his three point shooting, 4 for 5. Had 6 dimes to top it all off, great game.
They gave us the boost that a team on the road needs so much and it really paid off tonight. Shareef had 10 points, Francisco with 10, Ronnie Price was hustling. When you're away from home it's nice to know you're going to be helped out offensively by your second unit.
let's get a streak going here and get into the playoffs, boyz
