Mark Fleisher, agent for Mehmet Okur: “I talked to him this morning and told him what was up. He sort of wants to [play in Turkey] as long as he can so he can stay in as good of shape as possible, rather than leave now and then have to go 14 or 15 days without playing. We’ll just have to wait and see. Presumably we’ll hear more in the next couple of days. … He was happy to hear it.” Fleisher added that Okur could return to Utah about Dec. 5 if training camp opens Dec. 9.
Assuming they don't use the amnesty clause, deal his expiring contract or buy him out so he can stay in Turkey. He and Jefferson need to go. Sounds like Favors is ready to step it up and with Millsap around they are expendable.
