I've got a high, Dirkesque release, and with it I've found that bending my knees tends to lower my percentage, so I keep standing up straight throughout.
not sure how good of FT you are, but locked knees will come back and bite you, especially if its in crunch time. a little flexiblity in the knees at minimum But locked knees
