He was virtually Trouts equal on offense and I feel like Posey's positional value and defensive ability are not truly reflective in his WAR, which was still a quite impressive 8.
Defensively, Buster is good, but still a decent amount behind the best at his position. Also you don't think that playing around 20% of his games at 1B doesn't take away some of that value?
