This was one of the more slower-paced Bond films I've seen that left too much to be desired. It's going to be hard to beat a Bond film like Casino Royale.

They weren't deep character films, they weren't serious nor very dramatic.
They were FUN ACTIONS movies, with very corny dialogue and all of it done tongue in cheek sense of humor.
I agree and think they started getting a bit more serious with Pierce and definitely with Craig. I do definitely feel like this is a bit of what I was talking about in Skyfall. There really is almost no humor in the entire movie, although there wasn't in Quantum of Solice either. I also agree that the current movies are a bit more like the Bourne series than Bond. However, if they are going to take the movies this way, why not make them into classic movies? Why not raise the bar to Oscar-esc levels? I believe Skyfall had this potential if written as talked about in my review.
In a time where there are so many mediocre action movies, why not make a movie that stands above the crowd instead of settling into the rest of the pack?
