None of this is making any sense. If they truly didn't want PJax, and thought an up-tempo offense was needed, why not have MDA all lined up after what appears to be a panic firing of Mike Brown?

Once Brown was fired, the Lakers FO had to know that the speculation would explode that PJax was coming back. So, why not leave Brown in place until you have everything worked out for a smooth transition?

So, if there was no replacement ready and waiting, and no real plan for replacement, why exactly was Brown fired?
