Dwight day-to-day with sore shoulder, again
After having a procedure Saturday in Los Angeles to treat his aggravated right shoulder, Howard flew to Detroit in hopes that he’ll feel fine enough to suit up when the Lakers play Sunday against the Detroit Pistons.
The Lakers are officially listing him as a game-time decision and his recovery as day-to-day, but one source familiar with the situation said Howard will at least return Tuesday against the Brooklyn Nets.
“For sure, he will play in Brooklyn,” the source said.
Howard sat out of the Lakers’ 111-100 victory Friday over the Minnesota Timberwolves so he could return to L.A. for a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) procedure on his right shoulder. He aggravated a torn labrum in the shoulder during the Lakers’ loss Wednesday in Phoenix.
