I wonder if Kidd will start hitting threes again,at least at a decent clip. He's shooting worse than Landry Fields or Ronnie Brewer
He didn't hit a single three in 4 of the last 5 games and he's been shooting 15% in the last 10

So,let's see help Melo is getting:

Jason Kidd: 15% for three in the last 10,hasn't hit a 3-pt in 4 of the last 5 games
Iman Shumpert: Shooting 24% from the field and 26% from three in the last 10. Hasn't hit a three in 6 out of the last 7 games
Raymond Felton: 28% for three in the last 10,hasn't hit a three in 3 out of the last 6 games.

So basically Melo is playing with a bunch of guys who can't shoot to save their lives. Are we really going to blame him for taking more shots when he and all of us know his teammates are going to brick it if he passes to them ?

Guy hasn't been efficient in the last few games but he can at least score. Kidd can't score at all. Shumpert can't score at all. Felton if he does score it isn't much and it's on bad efficiency. Tyson isn't an offensive minded guy.

Melo had 35 points last night. He attacked the basket and got to the free throw line. He had 8 assists, many of them were beautiful passes to Amare for wide open dunks. I think he played very well. Not excellent but very well. Despite his 10-26 shooting.
