I understand that. But when players restructure their contracts most of the time they are not taking a pay cut, they are just shifting money from base salary into a bonus so it helps with the cap, but they still get the same amount of money. Not sure yet how much guaranteed money Ellerbe's deal has but Wallace get's 30 Million guaranteed.
Regardless, the Dolphins are showing they are willing to spend cash to improve, and their team looks a lot better now.
