No disrespect, but that article, like most about Pierce and Anthony, dances around the elephant in the room like it isn't there. They treat it like it's just some aside. Pierce started winning because Pierce got better players around him. People overestimate all that leadership BS. Sure, you need a solid leader and a solid locker room but you don't win in the NBA without talent. Period. The Celtics didn't have enough talent to win until they got Allen and Garnett. The greatest leader in the world couldn't change that. Same with those Nuggets teams. The best player Melo played with on that Nuggets team was Allen Iverson who was past his prime. That's not exactly championship caliber.
