Kentucky is the most appealing destination for players who are just trying to do their "one year sentence" and get out. Baylor is not really a high profile school, and we wont even discuss A&M in that regard.
They are trying to get as much exposure before they enter the draft next year, playing for UK is as exposed as it gets.
Add in that Texas is now and will always be football-first and I imagine it wasn't much of a contest for Cal.
