Hmm...I must say I like all 3 teams but for different reasons. Anyway, coin toss meant that I'm facing the '99 Spurs. I'm giving HCA to whichever team has the highest winning percentage. Mine (through 82 games) is .695 compared to the Spurs .740, so they get HCA.
G1: I win 106-83. Duncan and Robinson turned up, unfortunately no-one else did. My defense held SA to 38.7% shooting and won the rebounding battle +24. I'm so glad I managed to get Rodman and Howard.
G2: I won 112-90. It was Showtime for Magic who ended with 26 points and 7 assists. 32 assists on 46 made field goals. I like how there's very little ISO ball.
G3: I won 100-99. Duncan (16 points 13 rebounds) and Robinson (18 points 11 rebounds) had double doubles but so did Howard (16 points 12 rebounds, 10 offensive!) and Pippen (10 points 11 rebounds 8 assists). If Malik Rose makes his free throws the Spurs win.
G4: I sweep the series 4-0 with a 99-91 home win. Duncan (27 points, 9 rebounds, 5 blocks) and Robinson (16 points and 14 rebounds, 7 offensive) didn't want to lose. Unfortunately, neither did Dwight Howard (27 points 13 rebounds) or Scottie Pippen (26 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists). Dennis Rodman also grabbed 13 rebounds, and Magic dished 11 assists.
Series MVP: Dwight Howard - 20.5PPG 10.8RPG 0.8APG 2.0BP 0.5SPG shooting .578 from the floor. Up next, Larry Bird and the 1986 Boston Celtics. Shade, aren't you a Celtics fan?
