The photo seems to be in poor taste. Becoming a public spokesman for guns themselves would obviously be an egregious, needless move on Zimmerman's part.
But, it does seem like a "employee takes pic with [insert well known person] to put on their facebook page" kind of thing, and it was discovered/leaked and being made out into something else (like "Zimmerman is gloating to the cameras").
Assuming he is gloating, though, to me it's obvious Zimmerman and his family (based on comments) are spiteful over the public and media's witch hunt against him, as the law essentially found him not guilty right after the incident (detained, brought him to the police station, questioned him, but no evidence to arrest him) and then not guilty again months later in a huge trial.
