How is it getting better?
Watching vine videos of 13 years olds shaking their asses; or 9 year olds killing themselves because their boyfriend broke up. Or how about the influence Jersey Shore has on our younger generation.
From all the terrorism, to the bombings then to the school shootings...how exactly is our society improving?
Despite what you might think, those are in the minority. Overall 13 year olds have a far better life today than they did 100 years ago, especially those in a minority group.
Statistically I don't think terrorism, bombings, and school shootings account for large numbers of deaths. At least compared to the numbers of kids that died from a lack of work safety laws and treatable diseases. And it isn't like these things are new.
The Bath School disaster is the historical name of the violent attacks perpetrated by Andrew Kehoe on May 18, 1927 in Bath Township, Michigan, that killed 38 elementary school children and six adults in total, and injured at least 58 other people.[Note 1] Kehoe first killed his wife, fire-bombed his farm and set off a major explosion in the Bath Consolidated School, before committing suicide by detonating a final explosion in his truck. It is the deadliest mass murder in a school in United States history.
