Why is there 9 weight classes between 30 pounds?
But from 140 to 175 (35 lbs) it's only 6?
This would be ideal, get rid of half the weigh classes, mostly the smaller weights.
From 18 weight classes to 12, than you got four to five world title belts floating around. WBC, WBO, IBF and WBA. Some don't consider the IBO belt on the level of the other four. Than you got all of the minny belts, the NABF, the Intercontinental, NABO, ect, ect, ect.
belts don't mean much anymore but weight classes are very important
You know, it's funny. This is what TR/GBP gets for not trying to put together Mares vs Donaire. Now, both their top guys at the lighter weights have lost convincingly. One gets stopped in the first, the other gets schooled for 12 rds.
