Utah has built really big, physical lines on both sides of the ball. They're one of the few teams that can match Stanford's strengths in those areas.
The Utes are woefully short at the skill positions, but that isn't as apparent playing vs a team like Stanford who's willing to plod and be patient, expecting to wear you down. Utes were at home, played well, got a couple breaks and that's how it happens.
It'll be interesting today to see it Utah's advantage on the lines is enough to offset AZ State's huge edge in speed and skill position players.
