Agreed. I have a general style, but I mix it up from time to time depending on how lazy I feel or if I feel it needs a different touch. There are also parts that I spend more time on that I feel are more important to the drawing, but then I rush through other parts (hands, making limbs the right proportions, etc). In the end, what matters is if people can tell what is being referenced, but it doesn't need to actually look good. The best drawn ones are my least favorite. If it looks traced, or so good that photoshop was likely used, it takes away from a fun interpretation.
