This will be short.....Donnie, Shannon Brown ain't worth 4 mil a season!!!!

Sadly though, he might end up being the starter, we don't have a legit "2".

Donnie why can't you just get PE jr, for about 1 mil a season and work a deal for Rudy F.

Between those two guys, that would make the shooting guard spot a little more interesting since they will be competing for the starters minutes.

We'll have to see. Even though I want to see this team improving and even though Shannon Brown is a step in the right direction, it's a small step for a large price and I don't like it.

I think I speak for most ppl here when I respectfully ask how the hell is Shannon Brown a step in the right direction? The dude was arguably a 3rd string pg on a team that started Derek Fisher.Derek Fisher may just be the worst starting pg in the league and Shannon Brown backed him up and sometimes backed up Farmar who backed up Fisher. While I do think Brown was underappreciated,I dont see how he's a high commodity.

I have to agree with you franchize, I think we should stick with what we have, unless CP3 or Melo become available.

    No to Shannon Brown.

It's late but I feel like ranting.

Walsh needs to make a huge push for Carmelo Anthony and show his worth. I want to see a contender in MSG, which we haven't had since one of the biggest NBA miracles in 1999. I don't care if Danilo, Wilson, Randolph or any other player besides Amar'e needs to go, he could be extremely valuable to us. If he is traded to another team and he decides to stay there we are f-cked, how are we going to attract Paul, Williams or even Parker then? These elite point guards want guys who can finish for them. What point guard wouldn't want to play with Carmelo and Amar'e? Also, I would love to see a Carmelo-Amar'e pick and roll.

SO GET CARMELO ANTHONY, HE BELONGS IN NY!

    /rant

it wasn't that much of a rant tho, more of a praise towards Carmelo

I have read in the papers today that he is considering putting Amar'e in as a starting "CENTER".

    This isn't PHX dumbass!!!

This team does not need another non-center playing center.

Let Mozgov start. If he fouls out so ****ing what!!!

Let the true centers have the spot, at he has proven so far in these pre-season games, that he will mix it up down there.

We saw this same shit last year with Lee.

We flat out got abused last year in the paint.

Almost wanna say we gave the most ppg in the paint than any other team.

And that was with a an exceptional rebounder in the paint.

I don't see Stat getting 12 boards although he may get 2 blocks.

I guess the question is... will 8 rebs, and 2 blocks= 12 rebounds per game?

Of course this is to have more shooting on the floor having Chandler at the four.

D'antoni is getting on my nerves right now.

These few pre-season games should have given him some indication if what to do, yet he say he still don't know.

I know and I'm not the coach!!! What the hell is he watching??

    C Mozgov
    PF Amare
    SF Gallo
    SG Mason Jr.
    PG Felton

That's the best you'd have as an offensive defensive club starting. (I lol'ed at the defense part too).

6th man Randolph...he comes in specifically to hold down either the C or PF position.

    3 more in rotation......
    Douglas
    Walker
    Turiaf

On the other note...why is D'antoni constantly talking negative about his players in the media???

One of the youngest clubs in the League, and the coach is discussing their flaws through the media.

    Real bright dude.

For this offense to work Amare HAS to start at the 5. With Mozgov out there we lose all the mismatches. Plus it clogs the paint which ruins our pick and roll game and forces Amare out of the block.

We need a stretch 4, and more ballhanding in the backcourt because so far it doesn't look like Felton can get it done alone.

With Moz at the 5 and Chandler at the 2 we're too slow to run on teams and don't have the spacing/shooters/ballhandling to get anything done in the halfcourt.

    A lineup of
    Felton
    Walker/Fields (ultimately Azubuike)
    Gallo
    Chandler
    Amare

doesn't really give up that much size. Chandler did a good job on KG last year and I like him much more at the 4 than the 2. Gallo is 6'10 and can help on the boards (speaking of Gallo, I think it's time to start getting him ready to play the 4). Amare is not David Lee, he's still a poor defender but he contests shots and gets his blocks.

The offense would flow much better with a smaller lineup.

I think when 'Buike is hopefully healed...

    Felton '
    Buike
    Wilson
    Galli
    Amare

That's the way to go. Until Mr Walsh can upgrade us more.

I think it'd be Gallo at 3 and Chandler at 4.

Anyways you guys have Kelenna in great consideration, let's hope he's really good (I don't know him).

I heard Azabuike could miss up to 2 months of the regular season.

I really want to see this line up...

    Felton/Douglas
    Azabuike/Mason Jr
    Gallo/Chandler
    Stoudemire/Randolph
    Mozgov/Turiaf

With Chandler and Randolph gettin significant minutes OTB.
