But when it came to the major conferences, the rest of us got screwed over. The selection committee said just as much. RPI was the reasoning for the Mountain West. Scheduling the reasoning for the conferences that actually play someone.
It was a bullshit double standard that left out better teams in the NIT and put the teams that did make it at a major disadvantage (horrible seeding).
What does any of this have to do with New Mexico's loss last night? You said they were good.

Huh? New Mexico was apart of the Mountain West failures. It's not about New Mexico... I don't know why you are harping on that. It's about the conference getting seeded according the RPI while the major conference not receiving the same benefit.

You made that comment right after New Mexico lost last night.

That's because it was the last loss of the night for that conference.
What are you getting at? I feel like you are trying to get me to admit I'm wrong about something, but I have no idea what it is we are talking about. All I'm doing is repeating myself.
Just point out what it is you are talking about and I'll begrudgingly admit where I was wrong or prove to you that I wasn't.

I guess so. The last two-ish paragraphs read like he's quitting ("retiring" from) his job and giving up his fan card to me.
Deadspin on it now, fwiw.

You made it sound like NM/the Mountain West was overrated or something. They're not. Harvard just came to play.

And K-State comes all the way back to get the lead. They're outscoring LaSalle 31-12 in the second half.

Their #2 conference RPI and tournament record this year definitely at least lends some credence to the MWC being overrated.
