Re: Should I get this tattoo of a goddess on my back?
How much of your back are you planning to cover? We talking full back? If not, just make sure you don't get it on your lower back.
It's actually a pretty cool looking tattoo.

It's a tranny though.
"Guanyin is the Chinese name for Avalokiteśvara. However, folk traditions in China and other East Asian countries have added many distinctive characteristics and legends. Avalokiteśvara was originally depicted as a male bodhisattva, and therefore wears chest-revealing clothing and may even sport a moustache. Although this depiction still exists in the Far East, Guanyin is more often depicted as a woman in modern times. Additionally, some people believe that Guanyin is androgynous (or perhaps neither).[8]"

That's not what I mean, the vast majority of the public will think someone with one tattoo from another country will assume their an idiot. They won't know the explanation or story or even if the person with the tatt is a buddhist they will assume they just picked a cool image. Sad but that's how society is these days. I think it looks pretty cool and wouldn't put it in the category of generic tribal tatts as it has a legit meaning but most people won't know that
