Didn't come from me. I actually haven't negged anyone on here. I just find it funny that people are so easily offended. I actually loved Canada when I visited there. I make fun of where I live all the time. Still wouldn't live anywhere else.

Americans dissing Canada is so f*cked out. They are slowly becoming more obsessed about us than we are of them and that is pretty sad. Probably because we do their way of life better than they do.

We are indeed the home of the free and land of the brave. While Americans get prison sentences for marijuana possession and are afraid of men in caves halfway across the world.

Oh it's entirely a jealousy thing. That's why I don't understand the negs.
We want free healthcare and legalized weed. You guys can keep the cold though.

Just funny that you are so invested in the diss, you'd think it wouldn't even be on the radar if you truly believed in the disses.

    ITS.

    NOT.

    FREE.

We pay for healthcare every two weeks. To date, I have unquestionably paid exponentially more in health care costs than I have used, and it's not even close. So you don't pay at a clinic visit twice a year. What's that, a few hundred bucks in comparison to the amount gouged out of my paycheck every two weeks? And let's not forget, if you want a prescription after you visit the clinic, that comes out of your pocket unless you have health insurance.

Honestly I'm even a proponent of socially funded health care. But for anyone to call it free, that's just... mind boggling. Do any of you who are saying this have jobs or pay taxes?

My plans are to move to Canada by next year.

I've been to Ottawa and Toronto and I love it, although I didn't go during the winter.

Canadians are a million times more welcoming, friendly, conscious of others, respectful, cleaner, etc. Moving there for the people alone is worth the taxes one pays. I grew up in L.A. and I'd pay more taxes if I was guaranteed a safer, cleaner less stressful environment. That alone should be worth the price for most people. Canadians are also far more tolerant of other cultures and ethnic backgrounds (from my experiences). I asked if after 9/11 Muslims got treated differently and consensus answer was "NO". They were treated just the same after 9/11.... with acceptance.

Oh... and I must admit, they're food overall>>>>> American

    Why?

Their foods aren't as processed as ours.

Hell... even their faucet water (from a hotel restroom) is >>>>>>>> any bottled water I've ever drank, it aint close. I guess I never drank 'clean' water in my life because this was pure clean water, or it tasted as such.

Like some said, Canada is like America 2.0... just colder (depending on which area). They have everything we have, but in a better environment. Sure, taxes are higher, but it's well worth the price. The entire country is like living in a safe secured exclusive gated community here in the States... but like everywhere. They still live by the 'honor' system which is something very rare here in the states.

Imo paying higher taxes is worth the higher quality of life, any time.
