Shamrock's gimmick never changed so I think you can use his entire 2-year run in the WWF as an era.

Face/heel turns happen way too often during the Attitude Era. Jericho for example, he started out as a heel in August 1999, then a tweener, then a full-fledged face by WrestleMania 2000. That's within 7 months.

He got DQ'd a lot because he had a gimmick where he snaps out on everybody, even refs, but he was technically a face. Most of his DQ'd were in title matches(vs Shawn for the WWF belt and vs Rock for IC belt) but he won cleanly against non-title holders.

I'm guessing they didn't think he was worthy of the WWF belt and also they wanted to build up Rock as an upcoming top heel so Rock kept that IC belt for a while during that run.

He was considered for the belt, but every time they gave him a chance with a mic, he was terrible. And there went his title dreams.

He still got enough pop from the crowd to be in title contention tho.

Honestly I think the era rule is a mistake. One of the things that makes guys special is the ability to get over in different roles. That's one of the things that hurts a guy like Cena and makes Jericho awesome. Jericho has been over in a ton of different characters while Cena has been super Cena for a decade. It's not a good thing to not be able to reinvent yourself. Also even though he wouldn't get credit for it since it was wcw, one of hogans greatest achievements is following the biggest face run ever with the best heel run ever

Last sentence doesn't say much since everybody got pop/heat during that era.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dxnb3MBiIas just listen to that crowd during a European title match.

I meant he got cheered more compared to his opponent.

The Attitude Era really was the glory days of wrestling.

Good point. I have no problem switching to all time wwwf/wwf/wwe instead of a specific era.

You can choose to only submit one. But that means you can only use one throughout the whole tournament. So selecting three teams now does you no harm for the future. But you should keep in mind that the two wrestlers in the tag team cannot be used as individual wrestlers for the same round.

The favorite IMO heading into the tourney. Other than John Morrison that's an awesome roster.
