Davis is gonna be the best PF in the game this season if he can stay healthy.

The overrating of Davis is reaching Blake levels.

What makes anyone think that with Holiday, Evans, Gordon and Ryan Anderson he'll put up enough shots to get to 20 and 10? That guy will be Al Jefferson as someone else mentioned.

Davis should get about 8 rpg. Why is this guy becoming sooo overrated?

with addition of Tyreke and Holiday he will get less touches on offense. So he will probably not average 20 ppg imo. Should top the 10 rpg mark though

How is he overrated? Please explain. Thank you.

Is it because he averaged 13/8 his rookie year? Well he did that in 29 minutes. He also averaged 16/10 in 32 minutes his last 19 games.

I would like a detailed paragraph about how is he overrated. Should be good.

It's in NO's long term best interest to get Anthony Davis accustomed to more offensive responsibilities as early as possible. He's their future franchise player and their best hope to be a respected team in the long run. Gordon is really good (one of the best SGs in a weak SG era) but Davis has the potential to be irreplaceable.

How many bigs today can defend, block shots, rebound... AND also have an amazing touch around the basket, a midrange jumper (with range potentially extending to the 3 pointer in the long run), great free throw form, the ability to put the ball on the floor, and a tantalizing hook shot? In short, how many anchor-finishers? He's even shown glimpses of being able to create his own shot... the talent is certainly there, it's just a question of whether he's allowed to develop that side of his game. If he does, forget about it, we've got the new best PF in the league (although it's also a relatively weak PF era compared to the Duncan/Dirk/KG golden age). I'm higher on him than on Love and Griffin... I think that unlike them he can be the centerpiece of a high-caliber playoff team.

Agree with everything that you said.

Good observation on the Love and Griffin comparison, Davis simply has more tools to work with and more talent than those two. He will be the best PF in the game in the next few years, unless another talented big comes through the draft.

Blake is a great PF as well... he just got too famous too quick, so people now hate him. (The flopping doesn't help, of course).

However, it's undeniable that AD has a higher ceiling on paper than any young PF. And even if he doesn't put it together, he'll still be a major contributor.

Unless he gets injured he could have anything from a Rasheed Wallace type career (could've been a superstar, was only very, very good) to a KG, with say, Jermaine O'Neal in between (not talking about games, but degree of success).
