I absolutely loved Casino. It is 3 hours long, but feels like an hour and a half to me. It is entertaining from start to finish with amazing acting and filming. Even in transitions between scenes, narration kicks in with perfect timing so the flow is constant.

Yeah me too. I would love to see those films with no knowledge of them.

You should block out some time and watch them on a big TV if you can. Lights Low, no phone, no laptop.

Scorsese has a couple big projects coming up with a few he would like to do

He's got a movie called "The Silence" next about a Portuguese Jesuit in Japan based on a Japanese book

After that, my most awaited one personally, he's doing the gangster genre again with Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci called "The Irishman"

I've also heard he wants to someday a movie about Frank Sinatra

What are your top 10 then? I know I'm in the minority about Casino being the top favorite for somebody, but saying it isn't top 10 like it is fact just makes you look like a crazy person.

Just saw it and reviewed in the main movie thread. Casino is criminally underrated. Not Scorsese's best, but better than Wolf IMO.

My assumption is that it is underrated because it is Scorsese's closest in style and story to Goodfellas (plus 2 main cast members overlapping) so people watch it and it reminds them that they'd rather be watching Goodfellas.

Jonah Hill sucks as a comedian. I rather watch a Seth Rogen movie.
