Moyes was a the Messiah for everyone who hated Man Utd (which was pretty much everyone). Moyes took a club known for cheating, boring football and being the masters at flukey wins and turned them into a laughing stock for everyone to enjoy. He may soon be gone but he will never be forgotten.

David Moyes will live on in the hearts of many as Manchester United manager forever <3

Eh, whoever takes over will always have Fergie's shoes to fill IMO. His man management is top class and one of the biggest reasons he was so successful IMO.

I've been a United fan since the early 1990s, and I would bet any money they don't fire him. The media have blown this whole Moyes Out thing way out of proportion. Fairweather fans who've only known the team for what it has been in the last half decade need to wake up. You lose a legendary manager, there WILL be a transitionary period. The ownership, Ferguson, basically everyone involved in determining Moyes' future have said even before the season started that he would be given a chance despite a poor season. Did they expect United to fall out of the CL? Probably not, but really that makes no difference other than a small percentage of the television revenue associated with the missed games next year. Still a world class club, and many top players would love the opportunity to play at Old Trafford.

I think he should at the very least be given another transfer window to improve the team. Last summer he was unlucky but he went after the right guys (Sneijder, Fabregas, Reus, Kroos etc). Those players are still available and with the exception of Sneijder, have a lot of elite level play ahead of them. Add that to the fact we missed out on one of the best young players in the world in a senseless bidding war with PSG (Lucas Moura) and the fact that we weren't able to retain Paul Pogba (terrible decision by Ferguson that no one likes to talk about amidst this whole Moyes sacking saga) and fans should see beyond the glitz and glamour of the RVP and Mata signing, our team is deteriorating, and some players need to be taken out back like ol' yeller, and many more that are just not top 4 calibre players.

What everyone SHOULD be talking about is the strength of the academy and the U-21s on loan. Jesse Lingard should be included in the first team next year as should Janko and Reece James with the departures of Vidic and Evra pretty much in stone. If we are to purchase players, all this talk of a guy in the midfield is so overblown its getting really old. We have given up weak goal after weak goal all season, we need to splash on a quality defender if anything.
