I will be purchasing this crossbow shortly.

Xbows are officially legal again in NY for the latter half of bow season and all of gun season!

I have always been against gun hunting, I feel it is unfair to the animal. This will give another option for hunters during this season. You need to be within 40 yards to make a clean kill with a crossbow, with most not taking a shot over 30. Hunters are a dwindling minority, so if you have some interest get out there!

Humans invented guns, therefore humans have the right to use their guns vs other species. Survival of the fittest. If you believe in Darwin, you have to also believe in hunting.

I bought the Covert SLS last year and after 1 hour of hunting, the moose was down for the count

I hope the result will be the same this year

Why don't you strangle the deer 1v1 then?

Chances are I would end up injuring the animal and not killing it, therefore causing it to suffer. Hunting is all about trying to make a clean and humane kill.

    Strangling would not accomplish that.
