On average, they get 4. Pitchers can generally go on 3 days with no problem.

I remember all those huge Dallas vs. San Fran football games years ago, the Dallas vs. Golden State NBA series a few years back, and here you have these two cities squaring off against one another in baseball.

Dunno why I just thought of that....
Also the Stars and Sharks had an epic playoff series in the NHL playoffs. It was in '07 I believe.

I think they can handle that SF staff.

Lee and Lincecum would only be pitching 3 games if it goes 7 games.

    Los Angeles (N) 21
    Oakland 19
    Cincinnati 19

One thing to keep in mind. Assuming Lee and Lincecum go in game 4, game 5 is still in Texas. There's going to be 1 day travel betwen games 5 and 6. If it goes 7, they'd be going on the normal 4 days rest.

This series will come down to Pitching (obviously), and small ball, and base running. Whoever does these things better will win.

Just realized the Giants are facing another AL West team in the World Series, first it was the A's in '89, the Angels in '02, & now the Rangers.

You never know with baseball. Remember how people thought Lincecum vs. Holladay was going to be an epic duel...

This is going to be greatest.
