why not just create a new Sci Fi story altogether? i mean Total Recall was pretty decent for its time but its just stupid how they keep doing all of these remakes of stuff that seem unnecessary.

but i guess they don't have to do as much marketing for it since people already recognize the movie and know the story.... just seems like all Hollywood has been doing in the 2000's is remakes. f'in create something new

Why? There are literally infinite numbers of ideas out there to make your own SciFi stuff. Movies like the Fifth Element and Avatar prove it.

the one from 1990 is my favorite movie of all time........it has it all, humor, action, surprises, and the arnold vs. sharon stone fight....... sharon stone with the knife and karate kicks, makes me jizz my pants every time i see it ......
