I figured I was being a homer thinking this was a great trade for toronto and bad for GS so I went on to the comments at the bottom of the article in the Contra-Costa times......man they are really looking for blood over how dumb a trade it was.

Wow, I would have traded Devean George for a bowl of Chex mix. And I hate Chex mix.

Bellinelli is young and will be part of the rotation, George is old and wouldn't have played. Whether Bellinelli is a permanent piece or not is irrelevant, because George definitely wasn't.

Confusingly one-sided trade, in favour of the Raptors, unless there's a second rounder or some cash involved that we haven't heard about.

Most likely enough to buy him out. This trade was strictly about freeing space at the guard position AND freeing up some cap space. Good trade for GS also (even though they are losing a talented guard).

Bellinelli won me over in that game he played vs. Raptors in GS this year. Don't care if it was just a flash but he's talented and considering what we got him for...this deal is sweet. He's passing ability is pretty underrated and I think he can do a decent job creating (rare for anyone other than Calderon to be able to do this). This trade has raised my interest a couple of notches more. Now if we can somehow get Biedrins
