Re: Illinois basketball fans
I dunno why we can't get some easy to run plays; when we have 4 guards out there we should be trying to run pick and rolls with BP and Meyers with the others spotted up.

Re: Illinois basketball fans
They're going to miss a shot, get an offensive rebound and put it in. I already see it happening. Maybe even a kick out off the board for the game winning 3. Weber better be emphasizing rebounding and putting a body on their bigs off a shot in that huddle.

Re: Illinois basketball fans
We are doing well in the clutch with the boards. It helps to have Green on the bench. BRANDON... ugh I was already putting it in the bank but no.

No doubt, but he brought us home, too.
SIGH. A wins a win.
I'm still mad over that rebounding thing because I feel it wasn't a fair match-up of our front line and theirs. On either side really but more for us cuz we only had two bigs in for like 3 minutes.
Oh well,

Re: Illinois basketball fans
Tracy deserves some props though. He hit a HUGE 3 to tie it up at 40 when no one could score.

I kinda wanna swap Painter and Weber, just to see what happens. At least Painter's got IU as an excuse in recruiting.

Recruiting hasn't really been an issue since 2009.

Re: Illinois basketball fans
This team has no killer instinct. They're incapable of blowing anyone out. They can play with just about anyone in the country, but they just can't blow lesser teams out. We took the lead for the first time yesterday in the 2nd half, and failed to score on something like the next three or four possessions. Even still, the offense wasn't the problem, it was the defense. Brandon Paul got lit up by Shurna for being one of the best defenders in the Big 10.
