I've seen flashes in the 3 or 4 games I've watched where Barnes has looked like a very capable scorer (inside, outside, and off penetration) but he just doesn't get consistent touches and looks with the starting unit.
Seems like Jackson has been pretty inconsistent with his minutes, too. He was starting to get 20+ MPG then, in a 2OT game like tonight, he gets 18 while Thompson plays 54? I don't know, maybe I'm just not seeing something. I know he's a rookie, but he's got talent (maybe not #1 option talent, but still) and it's starting to feel like a bad situation for him to be in in Golden State on a team with two other volume scoring perimeter players.
Barnes has looked a bit stiff and nervous on the court this year. His game really needs to be slashing and posting up, but I feel like he takes jumpers to fit in with all the shooters around him. I think it's going to take Barnes about half the season to get comfortable, and I think you'll see his play and minutes on the court improve in the 2nd half of the season. He took a guy down on the post a couple times in the Cleveland game, so he's learning.

Re: Warriors vs Nuggets Game Thread
Just a few things I took from last nights game..
*It took Denver 2 overtimes to reach their season average in points last night.
*Nuggets are shooting 42.6% on the season.
*Ty Lawson needs to be more assertive. He also needs to look for his own shot. When Ty is aggressive, good things happen.
* Faried has a motor that won't quit! gotta love that guys energy.
*Kosta Koufus is the Nuggets best big man by far, at least up to now.
The Warriors have some scary good shooters. Steph Curry has the best stroke in the league, and Klay Thompson is well on his way. When Bogut gets healthy that will help a lot. The lack of a decent big man is obvious. David lee was good last night but I know he can play better. I think Faried got into his head a little bit.
This game was like a never ending nightmare...

Not sure if that was a response to my post or not.. If so, I was referring to their group of centers Mozgov, McGee, Koufus.. Manimal plays the 4 (typically).
And I do agree, Manimal is the better out of the two.
