Updates fro experts @ bleecher report.

TJ Warren becoming a consensus pick.

---

15. Atlanta Hawks: Adreian Payne, Michigan State
The Spartans' big power forward had them poised as favorites to win the NCAA tournament in most brackets. That plan did not pan out, but Payne earned a reasonably high draft pick with his fine season. The Hawks somehow managed to sneak into the playoffs after losing Al Horford, but their lack of depth up front became a major pain along the way.
Payne can cure what ails them.

16. Chicago Bulls (from Charlotte Bobcats): Tyler Ennis, Syracuse
Even if his former coach at Syracuse Jim Boeheim doesn't think he's ready, Ennis will merit a first-round selection somewhere between No. 10 and 20. Every year, the Bulls get ready for a title shot with Derrick Rose, and for three consecutive seasons now, he has not been available for a concerted playoff run.
While Ennis is hardly the answer to Rose's fragility, he would give the team greatly needed depth at the position instead of running poor Kirk Hinrich ragged every night.

17. Boston Celtics (from Brooklyn Nets): Zach LaVine, UCLA
It happens every year. A player who could easily have been drafted in the top 10 bounces down the draft board like a plinko chip on The Price Is Right.
LaVine offers good size as a 6'6" point guard, and that helps his chances at serving as a combo guard in the pros. He certainly has the scoring chops, but he treads the fine line between hunting for buckets and keeping his teammates involved. Also, he only weighs 181 pounds, so keep him away from the skim milk.

18. Phoenix Suns (from Washington Wizards): P.J. Hairston, Texas Legends/UNC
Hairston could have been a higher draft pick, but his career got derailed by an NCAA investigation into improper benefits. As a result, the former leading scorer for the Tar Heels landed in the D-League.
That transition should have helped improve his game for the NBA, though he comes as a roll of the dice. Phoenix does not shy away from risk, and the Suns' front office will be feeling lucky after they aced the Luis Scola trade.

19. Chicago Bulls: Jerami Grant, Syracuse
Grant comes as something of a wild card. The forward has the potential to be a double-double producer in the NBA, but his offensive game has questions surrounding it.
As one unnamed Western Conference player personnel director told Mike Waters of Syracuse.com about Grant: "I like his size and length and athletic ability. He needs to show that he can handle the ball on the perimeter and shoot the ball on the perimeter.''

20. Toronto Raptors: T.J. Warren, NC State
Despite playing on a middling Wolfpack team, Warren poured on the points and averaged 24.9 per night. He showed good skills on both the offensive and defensive boards, and the fluid forward could provide sneaky value after his team missed out on March Madness.

21. Oklahoma City Thunder (from Dallas Mavericks via Houston Rockets and Lakers): Clint Capela, Switzerland
If nothing else, the Serge Ibaka calf injury which held him out of Game 1 and 2 of the Western Conference Finals proved that OKC needs greater depth in the frontcourt. Capela has proved himself as one of the league's best shot-blockers and rebounds, except that was in the French league. Still, the 6'11" Swiss from Geneva would be a boon for the Thunder.
Also, while it might be hard to believe, the Mavs actually traded this pick to the Lakers many moons ago to acquire none other than Lamar Odom.

22. Memphis Grizzlies: Jusuf Nurkic, Bosnia and Herzegovina
The Grizz love their grit and grind, and Nurkic offers the best blend of that at this point in the draft. He has the potential to be a double-double producer, but he needs to work on his conditioning, not to mention staying out of foul trouble.
Don't expect a smooth transition from the Adriatic League, but he could instantly become a potent backup center for a few minutes per night.

23. Utah Jazz (from Golden State Warriors): Kyle Anderson, UCLA
Bruins small forward Kyle Anderson put up 14.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.8 steals per game. Good luck finding that kind of production this late in the first round. The Jazz will take everything they can get.

24. Charlotte Hornets (from Portland Trail Blazers): K.J. McDaniels, Clemson
This team has a core of Kemba Walker, Gerald Henderson, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Al Jefferson locked up for next season, but the ever-versatile Josh McRoberts will likely seek a payday in free agency. Having already addressed that small forward position with Saric at No. 9, this is the spot to gamble.
Though somewhat undersized for small forward at 6'6", McDaniels plays big. At Clemson, he turned in 17.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game last season. Last year, the Knicks drafted one of the best rookies of the 2013-14 season at No. 24 with Tim Hardaway Jr., and the Hornets will be hoping that the 24th pick remains lucky.

25. Houston Rockets: Cleanthony Early, Wichita State
The Rockets love their scoring, and Early did plenty of that on a Shockers team that went undefeated for much of the season. The 6'7" small forward averaged 16.3 points per game, shot 49 percent from the field and 38 percent from downtown. He would be a good fit on the second unit.

I was thinking earlier about the possibility of picking PJ Hairston as well. To me, the Raptors could use a guy who can consistently shoot the long ball and not be a complete train wreck in every other facet of the game (Novak). I think he'd actually be able to contribute pretty early (tore up the D-League) off of the bench to provide some instant offense.

Updates June 2 @ Bleecher report

I wont post everyone here but in essence:

1) Cleanthony Early rises to Chicago (based on combine tests ??)

2) Ennis still a Bulls pick

3) K McDaniels still hovering 2 - 3 picks below Toronto

4) Capela falls again to 25 - questions of if he comes to the NBA and some teams need to stash a pick over seas.

20. Toronto Raptors: T.J. Warren, SF, North Carolina State

Toronto wound up cracking the secret to its woes by limiting the amount of isolation scorers on its roster, but now it could use some more depth in that regard.

When DeMar DeRozan sits, T.J. Warren can pick up some of the scoring slack. Playing with Greivis Vasquez, he won't have to handle everything himself, but the Raptors would certainly benefit from having a bench guy who defenses know can get and make his own shot.

I dont know him or his game but Hairston is all over the map in terms of censensus picks - 2nd only to McDermott (10th -30th). In that I mean my posts and various sources have him 15 -20 range and 25- to early 2nd round.

I wonder if his suspension is a "maturity thing" with some scouts ?? A red flag so to speak.

Does anyone know if he got game? any utube linkys ?

- Not likely available to the Raptors selecting at 20th
- Unless the Raptors somehow move up picks
- Currently projected closely between 10 - 16 in most mock draft picks
- Added only because of the Canadian / Lithuanian content

Updated Mannix Mock Draft
*source CNNSI

15. Atlanta Hawks -- Zach LaVine, G, UCLA freshman, 6-6, 181
No player has more athletic potential in the 2014 draft than LaVine. Can he harness it? That remains to be seen. LaVine was the definition of streaky last year, shooting at a blistering clip in the first month of the season before tailing off badly at the end of it. LaVine is determined to become a point guard, though several interested teams see him as a two. It's similar to how some teams felt about another uber-athletic UCLA guard: Russell Westbrook.

16. Chicago Bulls -- P.J. Hairston, G, D-League's Texas Legends (21 years old), 6-5, 229
The Bulls badly need a scorer, and Hairston averaged 21.8 points in 26 games in the D-League. Scouts are divided on the significance of D-League numbers, though, and Hairston's history -- he left North Carolina early last season after an NCAA investigation into improper use of rental cars -- is a concern. But imagine what Tom Thibodeau could do with a player with Hairston's size and skills if he is willing to buy in.

17. Boston Celtics -- Jusuf Nurkic, C, Bosnia (19 years old), 6-11, 280
The Celtics need a center -- the 6-9 Jared Sullinger is better suited for power forward -- and Nurkic is the best on the board. Nurkic is a physical player with soft hands and a knack for finishing around the basket. He's raw, having started playing in 2009, but Boston ownership is willing to rebuild slowly. Nurkic, who has been compared to Minnesota's Nikola Pekovic, has a huge upside.

18. Phoenix Suns -- James Young, G, Kentucky freshman, 6-7, 213
With its second of three first-round picks, the Suns can continue to load up on perimeter threats with Young. He was a streaky shooter at Kentucky last season, sinking only 34.9 percent from beyond the arc, but he has great size and athleticism at shooting guard. Bledsoe is 6-1 and Dragic is 6-3, so Young would offer an interesting contrast in Phoenix's backcourt. The Suns could look for a player to stash overseas here, too.

19. Chicago Bulls -- T.J. Warren, F, NC State sophomore, 6-8, 220
Warren is a pure scorer. He is something of a throwback, with most of his production coming from well-angled drives and a polished mid-range game. He also rebounds well for his position. Warren isn't much of a three-point shooter (26.7 percent last season), but Bulls fans might remember another small forward who developed that shaky part of his game with the team: Luol Deng. Warren doesn't have Deng's defensive instincts, but he has enormous offensive potential.

20. Toronto Raptors -- Tyler Ennis, G, Syracuse freshman, 6-3, 182
Could Ennis really fall this far? It's possible. While Ennis is a steady playmaker and effective pick-and-roll player, there are questions about his athleticism and his ability to make plays off the dribble against NBA defenders. The Raptors would eagerly snag the Toronto-born Ennis here to either back up pending free agent Kyle Lowry or be in the mix to replace him.

21. Oklahoma City Thunder -- Elfrid Payton, G, Louisiana-Lafayette junior, 6-4, 185
With Derek Fisher likely gone, Oklahoma City has an opening for another guard in the rotation. Payton made only 30 three-pointers in three seasons with the Ragin' Cajuns, but he's an effective slashing scorer and a strong defender. The forward-thinking Thunder are also aware of what guard Reggie Jackson could cost when he becomes a restricted free agent after next season.

22. Memphis Grizzlies -- K.J. McDaniels, SF, Clemson junior, 6-6, 196
The Grizzlies -- who are being run by interim boss Chris Wallace -- have a need at small forward, where Tayshaun Prince is entering the last year of his contract. McDaniels is a superior athlete and shot blocker and was one of the most improved players in college basketball last season, averaging 17.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.8 blocks.

23. Utah Jazz -- Cleanthony Early, SF, Wichita State, 6-7, 209
Early will have to adjust to life as a full-time small forward, but NBA executives liked what they saw from him at the combine. He is a solid shooter and rebounder who plays well in transition. An oft-asked question about Early: Is he quick enough to defend threes? If he is, he could be a steal.

24. Charlotte Hornets -- Clint Capela, PF, Switzerland (20 years old), 6-11, 222
Hornets coach Steve Clifford loves defenders, and the long, athletic Capela has huge potential. Capela is a very good athlete whom international scouts say improved significantly as a defender last season with Elan Chalon in France. Capela may be a draft-and-stash candidate, but don't be surprised if a strong player development coach like Clifford wants to get his hands on him early.

25. Houston Rockets -- Kristaps Porzingis, PF, Latvia (18 years old), 7-0, 220
The Rockets' search for a stretch four continues. Porzingis is raw and didn't put up eye-popping numbers in Spain last season, but he has a smooth shooting stroke -- which any team with Dwight Howard will love -- and excels in transition. It could be years before Porzingis is NBA-ready, but he has the potential to develop into a dynamic offensive player.
